Procedure for vessels arriving at - or navigating within - the Kvitsoey VTS
Control area:
| 1. |
Vessels approaching Kvitsoey Pilot Station shall, at a distance
of abt. 4 nautical miles off the
Pilot boarding ground, call Kvitsoey VTS on VHF Channel 18 in order
to obtain permission to Enter the VTS area. |

When in contact with the VTS Control please give the following
information:
- Name of vessel
- Call sign
- Last port of call
- Destination (Kaarstoe or other ports within the VTS area)
- At which pilot boarding ground you intend to embark the pilot (Boarding
ground 1,2 or 3 as agreed with the pilot station)

Vessels navigating within - or leaving a berth inside the
VTS Control area - shall
keep the VTS Control closely informed about any intended movements in the
area. |
