General News: Pilot by helicopter - Reduction of service fee fm May 1. 2012
News Due to an increase of assignments using helicopter services over the past few months, the service fee has been reduced in accordance with clause 8.3 in the contract agreement, from NOK 62634 to NOK 57361 per flight.  The reduction is valid from May 1st 2012.  Helicopter boarding and disembarking is compulsory for vessels of 30000 GRT and above.

General News: Karst Gas Plant - Increase in port tariff
News


As from 01. May 2011 Karsto Gas Plant has forecast an increase in the port tariff.  The mark up is said to be a result of less volume and increased costs.

LPG vessels     :  Increasing from NOK 14,70 to NOK 20,85 per NRT
Product vessels:  Increasing from NOK 14,70 to NOK 16,50 per NRT
Dry cargo/bulk:   NOK 10,00 per NRT (New)

Above prices is valid for vessels with double hull and SBT o­nly (Group1).

Vessels berthing more than o­ne time (for instance to load coolant or for any other reasons), will be charged in full each time when berthing.

Following mark-ups pursue:

Double bottom and SBT: 10% increase o­n top of Group 1 above
Double sides and SBT:     15% increase
Single hull and SBT:         20% increase
Vessels without SBT are not permitted to call at Karsto.

General News: PILOT BY HELICOPTER - INCREASE OF SERVICE FEE
News We have been informed that from 01.January 2011 pilot service fee for helicopter boarding and disembarking has increased from nok 65.600- per trip to nok 66.584 per trip.  Total fee for boarding and disembarking will now be nok 133.168,-

Helicopter boarding & disembarking is compulsory for tankers of 30.000 grt and above, which is calling at Karsto Gas Plant.

General News: "EU ADVANCE CARGO DECLARATION REGIME” from 1.1.2011
News Krav om forhåndsvarsling av varer direkte til og fra tredjeland innføres fra 1. januar 2011.

Norge har inngått avtale med EU om fritak fra forhåndsvarsling noe som innebærer at Norge sidestilles med EU land og IKKE trenger å forhåndsvarsle vareførsel mellom Norge og EU. Vareførsel mellom Norge og tredjeland, enten direkte eller via EU må derimot forhåndsvarsles. Toll og avgiftsdirektoratet har publisert informasjon om dette på sine hjemmesider:

General News: <B>RUSSIA AND BRAZIL HAS WITHDRAWED FROM THE ILO108 CONVENTION</B>

To whom it may concern

Russia and Brazil has recently withdrawed from the ILO 108 Convention.  However  both nations have adopted to ILO 185 which in practical terms means that seafarers from both nations are granted access to Norway without visa by showing a valid passport and seaman's book (issued by their coutry of origin), as long as transit through the Schengen aerea in Europe is avoided. 

It should also be mentioned that Norway has a visa waiver with Brazil, which permits Brazilian seafarers to enter Norway by presenting valid passport.

General News: Changes in ship reporting to Norway
News Due to changes in National and International regulations related to ship reporting which will be in force from 01. January 2011, the Norwegian Coastal Administration (NCA) will launch a new version of the "SafeSeaNet" electronic reporting system. This will bring about a new set of reporting routines for the shipping business.

Attached please find information of the actual changes valid from 01. January 2011, together with a Port State Control and SafeSeaNet information folder composed by the Norwegian Maritime Directorate.

General News: PILOT BY HELICOPTER - INCREASE OF SERVICE FEE
News Due to a reduction in the nuber of assignments using helicopter services over the past few months, the NCA have to, in accordance with clause 8.3 in the contract agreement, increase the services fee for helicopter transport of pilots.

The cost per boarding will from 15. July 2010 be as follows:

Type of Helicopter:  AS365N3
Rates per boarding, Karsto, Sture and Mongstad:  NOK 65.600,00
Rates per boarding Nyhamna, boarding at Fedje:   NOK 65.600,00
Positioning flights to/from Aalesund and when using back-up helicopter: NOK 16.151,00 (rates are per flight hour)

The NCA will monitor the number of assignments closely in the coming months and consider a new price regulation if necessary.
